En Plein Air Sketching (2-Day Class)

This class will encourage participants to express their reactions to and interpretation of local scenes, Paula Raudenbush will teach the class. Paula will demonstrate her methods of capturing the world in sketches and you will then spend time exploring what works for you. Paula will work with each of you as you hone your sketching skills. There will be discussions at the end of the day about what everyone sketched and how you felt about what you did. There is no such thing as an unworthy sketch, you will ALWAYS learn something.
We will be outside most of the day, weather permitting, so dress accordingly and bring sunscreen, hat, portable chair/stool and something to carry your supplies.
Pre-requisites: None, although some experience with watercolor would be helpful. You may want to watch some free beginning watercolor tutorials on YouTube as well. This workshop will NOT BE A FORMAL WATERCOLOR CLASS. We will simply be using color to enhance our sketches.
Bring your lunch, or bagged lunches can be purchased for $10. Non-alcoholic beverages and snacks provided.
