Washington, along with the fifth president, James Monroe.
Stratford Hall was home to four generations of the Lee family (including General Robert E. Lee) and two signers of the Declaration of Independence (Richard Henry Lee and Francis Lightfoot Lee). It boasts 2,000 acres where you can visit and learn all about life in 18th century Westmoreland County.
The Northern Neck is also home to Westmoreland State Park, located along the Potomac River. There are many fun activities to participate in at this park, such as camping, swimming at the beach or the huge swimming pool, fishing, and hiking.
